The Exchange Club of Toledo started in 1913, it is the second oldest club in the country. The first club began in Detroit in 1911. Since then, more than 750 clubs and 25,000 members make up the National Exchange Club, the only organization that is strictly American.

The major programs of service are youth projects, Americanism, community service, and the national project of child abuse prevention.
