Our club does many projects during the year to help improve the community and serve others. Here are just a few of the great things we've done this year:
- handed out miniature flags and candy to children at the University of Toledo Homecoming parade
- removed flowers from a city street flowerbed to prepare for the winter months
- provided the St. Vincent Mercy Children's hospital with video games and candy for those children staying over the holiday
- distributed informational parenting tip flyers to the public during Believe in the Blue day; a national project with clubs across the country
- held a beer tasting fundraiser at the Blarney Irish Pub with great food and tasty beverages for those in attendance
- rang bells for the Salvation Army on Christmas Eve
We have more projects to come for the year in the planning stages. It's fun and rewarding to help the community in so many ways!
In addition to these community service projects, we have social events that allow members have fun and let loose. It's great to be an Exchangite!
